Azzaro Pour Homme

Azzaro Pour Homme -

released in 1978
notes per Azzaro's website - star anise, lavender, vetiver.

Azzaro Pour Homme is one of my favorite fragrances.  I say that because I wear it a lot, or have been, but now that I have gone through my 6.8oz bottle already, and though I have another 3.4oz new one, I also have about 14 other perfumes, some large bottles, and I don't want those to go to waste so I am wearing them more.
But, I have worn it a lot, and it is really a go to scent for me it's so versatile.  Add that the price is very affordable, and it smells great.  I will keep using this scent for a long time.
The scent of Azzaro Pour Homme is a musky fougere.  On Azzaro's website it is described as a "weapon of seduction"  and I love the tag line "for men who love women who love men", or "for men who women love to love".  This alludes to the sort of lavender and anise shower fresh masculine, and the elegant dusty spiciness, and of course the musky flirtyness that is in this scent.
I get a very nice fresh shot of anise and soft dusty spice right off, then orange basil, musk, and later an amber scent with some vetiver.
In warm weather, I notice the basil and oily musk more, or when I get hot from doing something or running to catch a bus I notice tangy juniper.  In cold weather I notice a real nice creamy spicy sandalwood.
So this perfume has many ingredients and many facets, but I think it performs best in moderate temperatures.  It is not too heavy of a perfume, so great for the office, daily wear, or even formal events.  Like I said it is quite versatile, and the scent is really nice.
